Israel Police thwart attempted stabbing near Hebron

The Palestinian assailant was subdued and taken in for questioning; there were no injuries during the incident.

A Palestinian suspect attempted to stab a police officer on Monday morning at the Okfim junction near Hebron, according to the Israel Police.

The assailant was apprehended and taken in for questioning.

There were no injuries during the incident, which occurred during the intermediate days of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

The assailant is a 19-year-old Hebron resident, according to Channel 12.
