Jack Lew drew praise from the Israeli government, AIPAC and a former U.S. official for “speaking the truth” about a report funded by USAID.

Again and again, America has shown, “in word and in deed, and in utterly bipartisan fashion, that it is Israel’s greatest ally,” the Israeli president said.
The bipartisan group sends a message to the world that the relationship between the two countries “transcends parties and administrations,” said Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew said that while the U.S. supports Israel’s goal of ending the threat posed by Hamas, the terror group cannot be totally eliminated.
The defense minister noted that international cooperation brought about “complete containment of the threats except for a very, very small margin.”
The IDF’s Humanitarian Coordination and Deconfliction Cell was established following the accidental deaths of seven aid workers in Gaza.
