John Bolton

“I believe [U.S.] President [Donald] Trump is concerned with Iranian aggression across the Middle East including in Syria,” Dore Gold, former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, told JNS.
U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton calls on Hezbollah to stop tunneling into Israel and on Iran to end regional aggression that poses an “unacceptable threat” to Israel and the region.
The harsh rhetoric from the National Security Advisor came just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump address the U.N. General Assembly, where he urged “all nations to isolate Iran’s regime as long as its aggression continues.”
Zero Iranian oil exports would cut the world’s oil supply by more than 4 percent, likely increasing prices elsewhere due to less competition.
“Just to be clear, regime change in Iran is not American policy,” said U.S. National Security Advisor Bolton. “But what we want is massive change in the regime’s behavior.”
“Obviously, we understand the Israeli claim that it has annexed the Golan Heights—we understand their position—but there’s no change in the U.S. position for now.”

Bolton, Rivlin Discuss ‘very challenging time for both Israel and the United States’
A day after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton was greeted by President Reuven Rivlin, discussing issues related to Gaza, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and other Mideast issues.
“The nuclear deal did not block Iran’s path to the bomb; it paved Iran’s path to an entire nuclear arsenal,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Removing the sanctions enabled Iran to bring in billions and billions of dollars to its coffers which only fueled Iran’s war machine in Syria, in Lebanon, in Yemen and elsewhere.”
Bolton, who has served in various high-level capacities in the last three Republican administrations, including as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush, has advocated a strong stance against North Korea and Iran, and has publicly expressed pro-Israel positions on numerous occasions.
