Ofer Cassif

“I admire his fortitude, bravery and principles,” Corbyn said of Cassif.
Cassif was previously banned for drawing a connection between the Holocaust and alleged actions by the Israeli government, as well as praising terror.
“This month, exactly 86 years ago, the ‘Central Bureau for Jewish Emigration’ was established in Berlin with the aim of encouraging voluntary emigration of German Jews,” Ofer Cassif tweeted.
The Ethics Committee also voted to cut the salary of Cassif, the lone Jewish lawmaker for the Arab Hadash-Ta’al Party, over his anti-Israel incitement.
Ofer Cassif, the only Jewish member of the Arab-majority Hadash-Ta’al Party, has been at the center of several Knesset controversies.
Eighty-five MKs voted to oust Cassif, below the 90 needed in the 120-member legislature.
The matter will now head to the Knesset plenum, where a majority of 90 out of 120 members must support the lawmaker’s impeachment.
Eighty-seven MKs have joined the effort to oust Ofer Cassif, the lone Jewish member of the majority-Arab Hadash-Ta’al Party.
“MK Cassif’s treasonous words can no longer be heard while the blood of our soldiers and citizens screams from the ground,” MK Oded Forer said.
The Hadash MK, who is Jewish, accused the Netanyahu government of exploiting the Hamas attack to implement a “final solution.”
The lawmaker is alleged to have struck a police officer in the head after being prevented from participating in a demonstration against a court ruling ordering the evacuation of Arab villages on Mount Hebron.
Ofer Cassif allegedly struck an officer in the head after being prevented from reaching a protest in 2002.
