Chabad-Lubavitch

Chabad-Lubavitch is a philosophy, a movement and an organization. More than 5,000 full-time emissary families (2,000-plus in the United States) apply 250-year-old principles and philosophy to direct more than 3,500 institutions (and a workforce that numbers in the tens of thousands) dedicated to the welfare of the Jewish people worldwide.
The program focused on identity, resilience and responsibility during a period of heightened concern for Jewish communities locally and globally.
“The entire area around us was pitch black, yet our building was lit and open to anyone in need,” said Rabbi Yitzchok Tiechtel of Chabad of Nashville.
The initiative is designed to align with civics, social studies and character education goals.

A workshop titled “Cuidarte para Cuidar” (“Care for Yourself so You Can Care for Others”) offered tools to nurture their spiritual and emotional well-being.

He prayed for those still being held captive in the Gaza Strip and for the well-being of his brethren in Israel.
The annual program, this year titled “Igniting the Flame,” took place at the Bedford Union Armory in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y.
The program balances educational content with entertainment for those unable to light their own menorahs or celebrate on their own.
