Russian ambassador to Syria: Israeli airstrikes undermine stability

Bennett, Putin discuss Iran, Syria during five-hour Sochi meeting
Russian President Vladimir Putin is “attentive” to Israel’s security needs, says Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

Bennett plans to meet with Putin in Russia, in part to discuss Iran aggression
The two leaders are likely to discuss diplomatic, security and economic issues, as well as regional concerns such as Iran’s nuclear program.
“Neo-Nazi groups are trying to re-emerge, and their popularity has increased with the economic crisis. We see them as criminals who deny the Holocaust and promote neo-Nazi ideas; they have no place at all in Greek society,” said Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.
Former Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein, also an ex-refusenik, called her “one of the great icons of the struggle for the right to immigrate to Israel from the Soviet Union.”
“Iran’s march towards a nuclear weapon is not only an Israeli problem; it’s a problem for the entire world,” said Israel’s foreign minister.
The activity is scheduled for early September; it would include small missile and artillery ships from Iran, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Saudi media reported that Jerusalem and Moscow have in recent years “maintained a hotline that allowed the Israeli military to alert Russian forces of incoming strikes,” but now, “communication through the Israel-Russia deconfliction mechanism has effectively ceased.”
Its national team finished in seventh place, its best ranking to date, among all countries involved in the two-day competition.
In February, Syrian authorities took the 25-year-old to a detention center in Damascus and questioned her for 16 days.
