Arab sources report IDF activity near Damascus and Quneitra.
“All factions must immediately lay down their arms,” said Ambassador Thomas Barrack.
President Ahmed al-Sharaa must “protect the Druze in the suburbs of Damascus from attacks by jihadist rioters,” said Defense Minister Israel Katz.
The headquarters of the Syrian Army’s 90th Brigade have often been used by Iran and its terrorist proxies, including Lebanese Hezbollah.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the attacks killed four members of Iranian-backed terrorist militias.
The Israeli Air Force previously carried out raids on Hezbollah targets in Al-Qusayr on Nov. 5.
IAF fighter jets targeted two buildings occupied by Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
“Hezbollah, with help from the Syrian regime, endangers the safety of civilians by establishing its infrastructure in civilian areas,” the IDF said.
The site served as “Hezbollah’s central intelligence body,” the IDF said.
The target of the attack was reportedly Haj Samer, a senior official in Hezbollah’s Unit 4400, responsible for transferring weapons from Iran and its proxies.
The Iranian-backed proxy Hezbollah blamed Israel for the blasts that also wounded at least 2,700 and killed eight of its operatives in Lebanon.
One person was also injured in Al-Rafid in southwestern Syria by Israeli shelling, according to official Syrian media.
