The Houthis are “working to create the conditions for seizing control of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait by expanding its presence along the western coast and attempting to control strategic Yemeni islands in the Red Sea,” the Yemen’s information minister told the AFP.
“The severity of the Houthi menace is magnified by their human rights abuses, antisemitism and their continued theft of international humanitarian aid,” wrote Sen. Dave McCormick (R-Pa.).
The charges include “colluding with foreign nations in a state of enmity with Yemen during the 2024-2025 period—namely Saudi Arabia, Britain and the United States—and spying for their interests through officers from those countries and from the Israeli Mossad.”
The Iranian-backed terror group is smuggling weapons and rebuilding command ranks.
Thirteen U.N. Security Council members voted for the resolution that calls for an end to cross-border and maritime attacks, with China and Russia abstaining.
“If the enemy [Israel] resumes aggression against Gaza, we will return to our military operations against the Zionist regime.”
The Houthis’ acting FM confirmed that detained employees are on trial.
U.S. Central Command naval forces captured Muhammad Pahlawan off the Somali coast in January 2024.
The Iranian-backed terror group said its two-year-long conflict with Israel had not ended despite the U.S.-brokered in the Gaza Strip.
The attack triggered air-raid sirens in Eilat but caused no injuries or damage.
