The prominent American Christian Zionist says if the U.S. administration fails to recognize Israel’s sovereignty bid, then the evangelical community will not back the president in November.
A senior White House official told multiple outlets that the meetings were “productive,” but “there is yet no final decision on next steps for implementing the Trump plan.”
One position that could be approved is for Israel to annex parts of the West Bank in stages over several months.
The meeting, which will reportedly be held in Washington, D.C., this week, will determine whether or not the administration gives the go-ahead for Israel to apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
The new head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media is expected to make sweeping changes at VOA, which has been plagued by allegations of corruption, mismanagement, liberal bias and other issues.
“The International Criminal Court is being misused by the Palestinians and others to pursue political campaigns against democracies, while distorting international law,” tweeted Israeli politician Ayelet Shaked.
“While we share concerns over the details of the plan and how it will affect our day to day lives, we are cautiously optimistic about the application of sovereignty,” said a group of activists and leaders in Judea and Samaria.
The agreement between Iran and world powers has allowed Tehran to continue its nuclear program within certain limits in exchange for lifting of economic sanctions.
“Our policy is to extend the arms embargo one way or another,” said U.S. special representative for Iran Brian Hook.
The Democrat has made numerous anti-Semitic and anti-Israel remarks since entering Congress in January 2019.
“If the settlers don’t want what the administration currently has to offer, they shouldn’t come to us in the future,” says an American official.
Chief of Staff Gen. Mohammad Bagheri also said “the Zionist regime and its supporters are no more able to speak of war against the Islamic Revolution; their threats and anti-Iran sanctions have proven fruitless.”
