In the Democratic race, Marie Newman won against Rep. Dan Lipinski, 47.1 percent to 44.8 percent, while Arthur Jones came in last in the three-way Republican contest with only 10 percent of the vote.
It conducted a conference call with Jewish leaders and extolled Biden’s “relationship with the Jewish community and his support for Israel.”
“This will help prevent the greater normalization of anti-Semitism and prevent extremists from seeing a green light to act on such hatred,” said ADL CEO and national director Jonathan Greenblatt.

His comments and absence reverberated throughout the event, with speakers ranging from U.S. Vice President Mike Pence to House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to former New York City mayor and current Democratic presidential contender Michael Bloomberg referencing it.
