Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, N.J., has teamed up with Jewish Family Services of Atlantic County (JFS) to open a mobile food pantry to help alleviate hunger in the immediate and surrounding areas.
In support of MGM Resorts International’s commitment to food insecurity and hunger relief, Borgata awarded a $100,000 grant to support the Jewish agency’s ongoing efforts in the community.
The casino held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 15 to launch the initiative.
JFS of Atlantic County currently provides the only full-service food pantry on Absecon Island, N.J., that is open five days per week, with additional satellite pantries located within the municipal building and courthouse. It has a mobile pantry that can provide pop-up services and also provides Meals on Wheels services to home-bound clients.
As this year’s capacity building grant recipient, JFS is expanding its operations to reach 150,000 meals served between July and June 2026.
