Two recent high school graduates have developed a free and pluralistic daily Jewish platform available as an app and a website.
Lishmah is an innovative Jewish learning platform that provides its users with a daily, short, and engaging lesson written by a Rabbi or Jewish educator from around the world and across the religious spectrum. Lishmah aims to evade financial barriers to Jewish learning, engage users in cross-denominational learning, and do it all in only 5 minutes a day.
Every user is guaranteed:
- Free and engaging lessons that teach about Jewish thought, ethics, terms, holidays, and much more.
- Exposure to teachers from various Jewish denominations, communities, and beliefs.
- The ability to asynchronously connect with other users from around the world and across the religious spectrum to learn with!
Lishmah was founded in March 2020 by two high school seniors, Lior Ben-David and Elan Roth. With the support of various Jewish professional organizations and individuals, Lishmah’s sole goal is to provide Jewish learning to the world in a cost- and time-effective manner. Lishmah’s first lesson was September 21st, but every past teaching is still available on the iPhone application or the website.
Lishmah is currently available on the iOS App Store for free. For more information, please visit LishmahLearning.com or reach out to LishmahLearning@gmail.com.
