Unpacked, an OpenDor Media brand, is proud to announce the launch of Judaism Unpacked, curated content and a community to inspire young Jews of all backgrounds to deepen their connection with their identity and further their understanding of Jewish ideas, festivals, personalities and more.

With many young Jews lacking access to meaningful Jewish learning, Judaism Unpacked seeks to fill this gap with frequent, engaging, and thought-provoking content designed to make Jewish learning approachable, relatable and lasting.

“The launch of Judaism Unpacked reflects our commitment to ensuring that those seeking to learn from and connect to Judaism’s foundational ideas and texts can do so in a way that meaningfully resonates. Particularly since Oct. 7, we have seen a growing demand for content that can do that,” said Andrew Savage, CEO of OpenDor Media.

Judaism Unpacked offers a multi-platform learning experience including:

  • A bimonthly YouTube series unpacking big Jewish questions and concepts.
  • Explainer articles that dive deeper into topics.
  • A weekly newsletter called “The Portion,” offering curated insights, stories and content.
  • A dedicated and active social media presence on Instagram and TikTok.

Beyond content, a key pillar of the initiative is building a vibrant, values-driven community of young Jews seeking meaningful connections. In the coming months, Judaism Unpacked will host:

  • Moderated online forums for real-time discussion
  • Quarterly webinars and in-person meetups
  • Exclusive subscriber content for deeper engagement

“Our approach is to meet people where they are and take Jewish learning seriously,” said Dr. Noam Weissman, executive vice president at OpenDor Media. “Judaism Unpacked is about sparking people’s emotional, spiritual and intellectual curiosity by providing a deeply insightful education, which makes Judaism a part of your real, everyday life—no matter your level of background or observance. We want people to see themselves in the Jewish story, and for people to pursue their own independent and sincere relationship with Judaism.”

By providing consistent exposure to Jewish learning in compelling formats, Judaism Unpacked aims to change how young secular Jews engage with their identity—shifting from passive observation to active exploration, and from cultural connection to intellectual and spiritual curiosity.
