The Jewish people have always been a beacon of resilience and intellectual prowess, standing strong in the face of adversity. Today, we face unprecedented challenges that demand an unapologetic, robust approach to empowering our community and defending our rightful place in the world. As a proud Zionist and president of Jewish Future Promise, I am a staunch defender of Israel. Our future hinges on an unwavering commitment to conservative Jewish values, education, and a strategic defense of our interests.

The time for infighting and organizational fragmentation is over. We must present a united front, pooling our resources and influence to defend Jewish interests globally. This includes unwavering support for Israel, our sole Jewish state and the guarantor of our safety in an increasingly hostile world.

Our unity must extend beyond the Jewish community. We need to forge strategic alliances with other groups who share our values and understand the importance of a strong Israel as a bulwark against extremism in the Middle East.

We must immediately redirect our focus and resources towards comprehensive Jewish education. This isn’t merely about teaching history; it’s about instilling a deep-rooted sense of Jewish identity and an unshakeable connection to Israel as our ancestral homeland. Every Jewish child must have access to quality Jewish education, regardless of financial circumstances. This is non-negotiable.

Our educational approach must be grounded in conservative Jewish values, emphasizing our unique heritage and the incontrovertible archaeological evidence that confirms our historical ties to the Land of Israel. We must counter the false narratives propagated by those who seek to delegitimize our claim to our homeland.

The Jewish people’s contributions to global progress are nothing short of extraordinary. From groundbreaking technological innovations to Nobel Prize-winning discoveries, our impact far exceeds our numerical representation. This isn’t mere coincidence; it’s a testament to the power of Jewish intellect and values.

However, we must also recognize that our success has made us targets. Antisemitism is on the rise globally and is often being masqueraded as criticism of Israel. We must be vigilant and unapologetic in our defense against these attacks. Our youth must be equipped not just with pride in their heritage but with the tools to combat antisemitic rhetoric and actions effectively.

We cannot afford to be timid or apologetic in our advocacy. The survival and thriving of the Jewish people depend on our willingness to stand firm in our beliefs and fight for our rights. This means countering the BDS movement, challenging antisemitism on college campuses and communities, and ensuring that our political leaders understand the critical importance of supporting Israel. So, what can you do?

Support Jewish Education Initiatives

  • Contribute to organizations: Support groups that provide scholarships and resources for Jewish education. It is paramount to ensure that every Jewish child has access to quality education, regardless of financial circumstances.
  • Create legacy letters and ethical wills: Utilize resources like the Ethical Will and Legacy Letter guides to instill Jewish values and wisdom in future generations. These documents are powerful tools to convey your beliefs and commitments to your descendants.

Advocate for Israel

  • Engage politically: Actively communicate with local and national political representatives about the importance of supporting Israel. Advocacy groups focusing on strengthening U.S.-Israel relations are crucial in this effort.
  • Counter false narratives: Equip yourself with factual knowledge and resources provided by leading Jewish organizations to counteract false narratives about Israel and Jewish history effectively.

Promote Jewish Unity

  • Participate in community events: Engage in initiatives and events that foster Jewish unity. Unity within the community is essential to present a strong, cohesive front.
  • Support interfaith dialogue: Build alliances with other groups that share similar values. Interfaith dialogues can promote shared values and mutual support, strengthening our collective advocacy.

Combat Antisemitism

  • Educate and report: Familiarize yourself with the signs of antisemitism and educate others; Jewish organizations offer resources for understanding and combating antisemitism. Always report incidents to appropriate authorities and support organizations dedicated to fighting hate and discrimination.
  • Equip the youth: Provide the younger generation with the tools and knowledge to effectively combat antisemitic rhetoric and actions. Education and awareness are key to safeguarding their future.

Celebrate Jewish Achievements

  • Share success stories: Highlight the contributions of Jewish individuals in various fields through your networks. Many leading Jewish organizations offer avenues to celebrate Jewish heritage and achievements, promoting a positive image of the Jewish community.

Let’s move forward with pride, strength and an unwavering commitment to our conservative Jewish values. Our ancestors fought tirelessly for our right to exist and thrive. It is now our duty to ensure that the flame of Jewish identity burns brighter than ever, illuminating a path towards a secure and prosperous future for our people.
