Meanwhile, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed seeks “freedom of worship for members of all religions, as stipulated in the standardization agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel,” says policy expert Moshe Albo. “King Abdullah claims this violates the existing status quo and the peace agreement between Jordan and Israel.”

The law requires that any withheld tax payments made by Israel to the Palestinian Authority must deduct the amount that the P.A. paid in the previous year to terrorists or their families.

While hailing the Abraham Accords, in his joint press statement at the conclusion of the summit U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said: “We have to be clear that these regional peace agreements are not a substitute for progress between Palestinians and Israelis.”
