Stephen M. Flatow

Stephen M. Flatow is president of the Religious Zionists of America. He is the father of Alisa Flatow, who was murdered in an Iranian-sponsored Palestinian terrorist attack in 1995, and author of A Father’s Story: My Fight for Justice Against Iranian Terror. (The RZA is not affiliated with any American or Israeli political party.)

If there truly was a “decades-long effort” by the government to “force” Arab residents to leave, surely, they would have been gone long ago.
Trying to stone Jews to death has become a pastime for Palestinian Arab youngsters, just as hopscotch and sandlot baseball are pastimes for American children.
The U.S. president should not be cleaning up the P.A.’s mess. Instead, he should say to its leadership: “Stop paying terrorists, and start paying your hospital bills.”
It’s not, however, a confusion based on unclear facts.
Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Palestinian Authority, referred to the spate of murder in Israel as “a shooting operation.”
Palestinian Arab terrorism—from suicide bombings to potentially lethal rock-throwing—has become so commonplace over the years that many officials long ago grew weary of trying to get them to stop.
It is strategically disastrous to coddle Palestinian Arab dictators, abandon victims of terrorism and heap one-sided pressure on Israel.
In meetings with members of Congress who were visiting Ramallah, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh launched into a series of venomous anti-Israel tirades.
The Arabs, like the Russians, are the aggressors, trying to take over a country that belongs to somebody else. Israel, like Ukraine, is an embattled democracy with deep roots in their land.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) reversed course and announced that he officially withdrew support for the Israel Relations Normalization Act.
I hope she will confront the powerful implications of her own words.
Hopefully, her declaration about the Palestinians will stimulate a serious conversation about the cruel occupation that the international community has been ignoring.
