“Calling it ‘settler violence’ is a provocation” which “denies our connection to the land of Israel” and “distracts from constant terrorist attacks against Israelis,” said Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon.

Israel has “a right to kick out and stop working with UNRWA any time it wants,” the legal scholar Eugene Kontorovich told JNS. “Moreover, it’s not even obligated to work with any U.N. agency, only to ensure that certain humanitarian needs are met.”
“As long as Israel continues to be judged by a different set of standards, confidence in the United Nations and its institutions will continue to erode,” Israeli envoy Danny Danon told JNS.

During a visit to Damascus, the U.N. chief called the Golan Heights “Syrian territory.”
Khan “sought to scapegoat Israel in an attempt to divert attention from his own misconduct,” said Danny Danon, the Israeli envoy to the United Nations. “The international community rejected that cynical attempt today.”
