Terrorists crossed the so-called Yellow Line and advanced towards IDF troops on two separate occasions, according to the Israeli military.
“The possibility that Hamas will put aside its weapons is the same possibility that Israel will win the [World Cup],” said former Israel Security Agency head Avi Dichter.
“Hamas is required to uphold the agreement and take the necessary steps to return all the deceased hostages,” a statement by Israeli forces said.
The operatives were arrested in separate raids, described by the military as a “complex operation.”
“If I want ‘em to disarm, I’ll get ‘em to disarm very quickly,” the president said of Hamas during the “CBS News” interview.
The incident marked the third straight day terrorists were killed after crossing into IDF-controlled territory.
“Hamami symbolized, and still symbolizes, a generation of heroic commanders, salt of the earth, fearless and principled fighters, modest, lovers of people and nation,” said Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
“Hamas must be disarmed. Gaza must be demilitarized,” Jerusalem’s top diplomat declared during a visit to India.
The White House reportedly seeks to deploy its International Stabilization Force as early as January.
“From day one, we told the military court that if the terrorist would be brought to testify, the case would collapse,” defense attorneys said.
The IRGC rejected reports that the Hamas chief was slain by a remote-controlled bomb planted months earlier by the Mossad.
Some 200 terrorists are reportedly isolated in areas in the Gaza Strip under the control of the Israeli military.
