The Israel Defense Forces struck a Hezbollah “strategic weapons” site in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley on Thursday, the military said.

The site was used for “production and storage” of weapons, according to the IDF. Hezbollah infrastructure in the area of Zrariyeh in Southern Lebanon’s Sidon District was also struck.

The IDF also confirmed on Thursday that it carried out an airstrike in the Ain Baal area, near Tyre in Southern Lebanon, killing Wasim Saeed Jaba’i, a senior operative in the Imam Hossein Division of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who was also active within Hezbollah.

According to the IDF, Jaba’i played a central role in the division’s force-building efforts, advanced weapons procurement and helped orchestrate missile and rocket attacks on Israel during “Operation Northern Arrows” in September 2024. He was also credited with leading the division’s rehabilitation after Jerusalem’s military operation.

The Imam Hossein Division, an Iranian militia directed by the IRGC’s Quds Force, has been deployed to support Hezbollah and advance Iran’s “Axis of Resistance” against the Jewish state. During Northern Arrows, its members fought alongside Hezbollah, targeting both Israeli soldiers and civilians alike.

The IDF said the terror group continues to operate from Lebanese territory in coordination with Hezbollah, in violation of the ceasefire understandings between Jerusalem and Beirut.

“The IDF will continue to operate in order to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel,” the military stated.

The latest strikes follow a Sept. 8 strike on several Hezbollah targets in eastern Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, including Radwan Force training compounds. The facilities were used to train operatives and prepare attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians, including gunfire drills and other weapons exercises, according to the military.

“The presence of the terrorist infrastructure constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF said on Thursday. “The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel.”

Rep. Jim Jordan, chair of the House Judiciary Committee, told JNS that it appears the progressive group engaged in “obvious electioneering” to oppose Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The U.S.-brokered agreement calls for pilot zones in Southern Lebanon where Hezbollah forces would be removed and the Lebanese Armed Forces would assume control ahead of an Israeli withdrawal.
“The room booed him down and cheered as he was walked out,” said Harley Finkelstein, president of Shopify. “I’m grateful for that. Hate got escorted out. We got right back to building.”
The Israeli premier “raised the severity of the statements made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his people against the existence of the state of Israel, as well as the need for security zones along Israel’s borders,” read a statement from Netanyahu’s office.
Brian Romick said that as lead negotiator with Iran, U.S. Vice President JD Vance “cannot be lashing out at Israel critics of the Iran deal he is trying to promote.”
