The IDF division, which includes the commando brigade dismantling a Hamas stronghold, will fight “for as long as it takes,” said IDF Brig. Gen. Dan Goldfus.

Maronites fear that if an entity under Iranian auspices establishes itself in Southern Lebanon, it will lead to a ruinous war with Israel.
If diplomatic efforts fail, the IDF will “act with all the means at its disposal” to push Hezbollah back into Lebanon, Gallant said.
