Nearly three-quarters of Israelis oppose a minority government led by Gadi Eisenkot and Ra’am with outside support from the Joint List, according to a Direct Polls survey conducted for i24News on Nov. 2.

The poll found that 74% opposed the proposed arrangement, while 22% supported it. The survey questioned 559 Israeli adults and had a stated margin of error of 4.1 percentage points.

With 85% of the expected vote counted, El-Sayed had received 2,206,235 votes, or 52%, compared with Republican Mike Rogers’s 1,952,991 votes, or 46%.
“The reports tonight are an earthquake for Israeli democracy,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted to X on Tuesday night.
In response to a question shouted from the press pool, the president said he would not resume strikes on Iran after the election.
“Aiding Hamas would require not just a single collaborator, but an extensive network,” Herzi Halevi said. “Yet, even after three years, not a single such person has been found.”
