International March of the Living

The International March of the Living is an annual educational program, bringing individuals from around the world to Poland and Israel to study the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hatred.
“Antisemitism is raising its head, Jews are being attacked, and the world is silent,” said Sara Weinstein, 90, a Polish-born Israeli citizen. “I call on every person, everywhere: Stand up to hatred. Do not remain silent.”
“It’s a different time, but the hatred is the same. Living in Canada, I thought we were safe from this,” said Nate Leipciger, 97, a survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau and Dachau.
Miller says of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day speech, “I speak not only in my name, but in the name of the 6 million Jews who were murdered and who are watching us from the heavens.”
Twenty-two Arab influencers took part in the march in Poland following their trip to Israel earlier this year, and before devising and launching follow-up projects in their home communities.
International March of the Living commends Adidas for decision to terminate its partnership with Kanye West.
Holocaust survivor Aleksandra Kaniuka: “As every year, at this time, I’m in this place. In this way, I want to commemorate those who died by being deported to the death camp in Treblinka.”
On Nov. 9, the world will join the International March of the Living to commemorate Kristallnacht.
#LetThereBeLight campaign will invite people of all religions from around the world to illuminate homes, institutions and places of worship. Frankfurt’s main synagogue will be illuminated, as well as other religious institutions around the world. Personal prayers and messages from the virtual campaign to be projected onto the Walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.
