“I would push for a one-state solution from Jordan to the Mediterranean. The two-state solution is a fallacy. It’s a pipe dream. I would advocate a one-state—an Israeli state—for the entire region,” says former Illinois congressman Joe Walsh, who is throwing his hat into the 2020 presidential ring for the Republican Party.
He has expressed concern about the Democratic Party’s leftward slant, led by Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
“Just when you thought Bernie Sanders couldn’t get any more radical, he outdid himself,” says former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.
The Vermont senator also declared that the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been “racist.”
“I would keep the embassy in Jerusalem, although I think the terms of that should have been part of the negotiated two-state solution even though Jerusalem has always been the capital of Israel,” said Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.).
He stressed a two-state solution and the hope of working with a government not led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose policies he criticized in his remarks.
“We need to have the visibility to know whether U.S. funds are being used in a way that’s actually not compatible with U.S. policy, and U.S. policy should not be promoting this kind of settlement construction,” said Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Ind.
“Let me be very clear in how strongly I believe that that promise that the prime minister made during his political campaign was wrong,” said U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) at the annual J Street Conference.
Amer Zahr has expressed support for Zahra Billoo, who resigned from the Women’s March board for her history of making anti-Semitic remarks, including applauding Hamas’s terrorist attacks against Israel.
Democratic presidential candidate says she’d consider cutting Israel aid to counter Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s settlement policy, which she says is endangering the two-state solution.
They will sit with the hosts of the weekly podcast “Pod Save the World,” former White House National Security Council spokesperson Tommy Vietor and former U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes to discuss a number of pressing issues.
The three freshmen congresswomen are scheduled to officially make the announcement at a rally for Sanders at an Oct. 19 rally in New York.
