Freed Israeli hostages tell Trump they didn’t think they’d be freed before his return to White House
“You were our hope, and now you’re the hope of the rest of the hostages,” Naama Levy said.
“We must not allow the actions of a few interfere with our mission,” said Laura Rosenbury, the college president.
“Israel has expressed to the United States its position regarding direct talks with Hamas,” the Israeli prime minister’s office stated.
Hans Wechsel is said to have told employees that he “didn’t like the direction the ship was heading.”
“To the Jewish students listening, do not relent or give in,” the nominee for U.S. envoy to the United Nations told attendees of the group’s summit.
“Disrupting classes and defacing buildings to intimidate and divide our community is not academic exploration,” Laura Rosenbury, the college’s president, wrote in an op-ed.
The more than 180-year-old Jewish nonprofit also urged caution about reducing foreign aid, including for Israel.
Despite Israeli and global media reports that such a meeting had been scheduled, the White House says no get-together was planned.
It marks the most significant collaboration in two years and included dozens of fighter jets, strategic B-52 bombers and refueling aircraft.
“It was vicious cruelty of Hamas, whose viciousness seems to be part of their way, not to let the families know what had happened,” the Senate minority leader said.
“Antisemitism, like racism, is a spiritual and moral malady that sickens societies and kills people with lethalities comparable to history’s most deadly plagues,” said the U.S. secretary of health and human services.
Marco Rubio, the U.S. secretary of state, said that Washington “will partner with Israel during its IHRA presidency to defend the memory and historical fact of the Holocaust.”
