‘Have to keep radical Islam beaten down,’ Lindsey Graham says

The South Carolina senator stated that letting radical Islam get a footing in places like Afghanistan let it spread to the United States.

Letting radical Islam “regain its footing in places like Afghanistan” over the past few years “inevitably leads to inspired attacks against our homeland and that of our allies,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) stated on Wednesday in response to the car ramming attack in New Orleans that killed 15 people.

“To protect America, we have to keep radical Islam beaten down throughout the world,” the senator stated. “If not, we will pay a heavy price at home.”

The FBI stated that the attacker had an ISIS flag on the rented truck that he drove into a crowd of people in the popular New Orleans tourist site in the early morning hours on Jan. 1.

“All Americans are heartbroken this New Year’s Day, because innocent people enjoying their lives were killed or injured in a senseless, cowardly act of terrorism,” Graham stated. “May God grant healing to the wounded and comfort to the families of the fallen.”

In a break with longstanding practice, the New York City mayor does not plan to join the parade this year.
The legislation, which aims to shield educational institutions from disruptive protests, passed the council in March without a veto-proof majority.
“We have to stop the defense,” the Florida congressman said. “You’re not going to mess with us.”
“The whole world has seen Iran was building up a conventional capability where they would have so many missiles and so many drones that they could overwhelm anybody’s defenses,” the U.S. secretary of state said.
“We degraded Iran’s ability to project power outside its borders and threaten the region and threaten our interests,” Adm. Brad Cooper stated.
The City Hall rep told JNS that the New York City mayor decries “displays of support for terrorist organizations.”
