Mark Levine, comptroller of New York City, endorsed Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) who is being challenged in the 10th Congressional District by the city’s most recent comptroller, Brad Lander.

“In this upcoming election, the stakes could not be higher for New Yorkers. As Donald Trump and extremist Republicans continue their attacks on our basic needs and most fundamental rights, we need elected leaders on the frontlines in Washington who will not only fight, but win for all of us,” Levine stated.

“Dan Goldman has proven time and again that he will stop at nothing to defend our democracy, hold people in power accountable and make New York City more welcoming and affordable for all those who call it home,” he added.

All three men are Jewish. Lander has criticized Israel extensively and supported boycotting the Jewish state. Levine has said that the city should not divest from Israel Bonds, in direct opposition to the views of Zohran Mamdani, city mayor. Goldman has also supported Israel but has been very critical of the Israeli prime minister.

Goldman stated that he is “honored and humbled to be endorsed by an incredible public servant.”
