Increasingly recognized globally for its healthcare innovation, Holy Name Medical Center is joining with The Chaim Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel to develop and create new solutions in digital health and telemedicine.
Through the partnership, Holy Name’s team will work alongside Sheba’s Accelerate, Redesign, Collaborate (ARC) Innovation Program which seamlessly connects innovators, scientists, developers, investors, entrepreneurs, corporations, and academia to lead and implement global change in healthcare. The ARC gives global digital healthcare startups the opportunity to collaborate with healthcare teams with the aim of identifying unfulfilled clinical needs and developing effective solutions.
Holy Name was chosen as the first New Jersey hospital to work with Sheba Medical Center based on its history of and focus on of medical innovation. It’s the only hospital that has created and maintained its own Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system that in addition to charting, analyzes the patient’s information to improve care for the individual and various patient populations.
Holy Name was recognized nationally for its COVID-19 response efforts which included the creation of a cutting-edge treatment portfolio. It was the first hospital in the U.S. to use placenta cell therapy and the first globally to use Regeneron’s promising anti-spike antibodies.

The Holy Name team working on the collaboration will be led by Dr. Ravit Barkama, assistant vice president of clinical development.
