Abraham Foxman, director emeritus of the Anti-Defamation League, called the event a “sad day for the Jewish community.”

The former ADL director called the Biden administrations policy of isolating the Israeli prime minister “misguided” and “bordering on hypocrisy.”

The House and Senate bills recognize 60 diplomats who risked their careers and often their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust.

In an op-ed, Abe Foxman says Rep. Haley Stevens has been endorsed by pro-Israel groups such as AIPAC while Rep. Andy Levin has aligned himself with J Street and Americans for Peace Now, which call for conditioning military aid to Israel.

“I grew up in America on the NYT—I delivered the NYT to my classmates—I learned civics—democracy and all the news ‘fit to print’ for 65 years but no more,” says Abraham Foxman.

“Too often in Democrat and leftist circles, we witness a singular focus on white supremacy to the exclusion of radical leftist anti-Zionism and radical Islamist Jew-hatred,” said Ellie Cohanim, deputy special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism during the Trump administration.
