“Your institution is clearly producing students who are sympathetic to a terrorist organization,” said Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.). “Don’t you think that’s a misuse of taxpayer dollars?”
Facing a 23-count fraud indictment, Santos became just the sixth member of the House, and the first non-Confederate or convicted felon, expelled from Congress.
The vote split the Democratic caucus, with 90, including Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), joining Republicans in telling President Biden to re-freeze the money.
In many cases, antisemitism is coming from “people that most liberal Jewish Americans felt previously were their ideological fellow travelers,” the Senate majority leader said.

The federal government must tackle Jew-hatred proactively, said Rabbi Moshe Hauer, executive vice president of the Orthodox Union.
“It’s not going to be one of the things he will be proud of when he talks to his kids about his political career,” Hanoch Milwidsky told JNS in Washington the day after the “March for Israel” rally.
“We had complete high schools that would turn over their program and bring all their students,” said Prizmah CEO Paul Bernstein.
The rally sends the message to Washington “that we’re appreciative for the support for Israel and for the Jewish community, but that we need to see even more,” said AJC CEO Ted Deutch.
