“The news about a ceasefire is incorrect. This is an American-French proposal that the prime minister has not even responded to,” said the Israeli premier’s office.

The French president accused his Israeli counterpart of pushing the region to a wider conflict.
The defense minister reportedly “admitted some mistakes and offered to open a new page.”
