Speakers will include public officials, international guests and celebrities.
The group also suggests that current chair Harriet P. Schleifer serve a second one-year term.
“It’s not the time for public criticisms that really only served to empower the detractors of Israel,” William Daroff said.
The umbrella group’s members “remain distressed that an American official would tell a sovereign, democratic ally when to conduct its electoral process.”
According to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew, the influx of aid to the Gaza Strip has been vital to securing the time and space necessary for Israel to prosecute its war against Hamas.
“They can surrender, release the hostages, and this way, the citizens of Gaza can celebrate the holy holiday of Ramadan,” said the War Cabinet member.
“We believe it is essential to express ourselves as a community,” William Daroff, CEO of the Conference of Presidents, told JNS.
“The unity in our community is almost unprecedented,” said Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents.
