CIA director Gina Haspel and director of National Intelligence Dan Coats testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee that Iran has been in compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal and has not been constructing a nuclear weapon.
Former Pentagon official Michael Rubin said that “the intelligence community has a long history of playing word games and redefining what steps toward a nuclear bomb constitute.”
In a not-so-surprising move, Trump ousts U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, citing disagreements on the Iran nuclear deal as a contributing factor.
