The committee is “particularly concerned” that groups promoting Hamas and supporting illegal activities on campuses may be funded by “foreign or domestic sources.”
More than a third of Israeli respondents said that the Jewish state was not going far enough in its military response to Hamas.
“Our hearts, of course, go out with those mourning their loved ones this week after Israel’s strike in Rafah on Sunday killed at least 45 people,” Samantha Power said.
“Another proposal now is on the table, a fresh one, and we are doing everything we can to see if we can’t get that advanced,” said the National Security Council spokesman.
Soldiers have so far located around 20 tunnels along the 8.7-mile-long border area between Gaza and Egypt.
The Israeli military published internal records appearing to confirm earlier reports about the suspected robberies.
