Hegseth to Katz: US ‘remains 100% committed to Israel’s security’

The two leaders also discussed Iran being a major threat to regional security.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said on Monday that the United States “remains 100% committed to Israel’s security” during a phone call with his Israeli counterpart, Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz, stated Pentagon spokesman John Ullyo.

The secretary also reaffirmed the “unbreakable bond” between Washington and Jerusalem.

The two leaders discussed regional developments, bilateral interests and security assistance between the two nations.

They also said that the two countries will work together to combat Iran, which they emphasized remains a threat to regional security in the Middle East.
