Israeli troops shot and killed a Palestinian terrorist on Sunday while responding to reports of several Palestinians throwing rocks at Israeli civilians near Ofra in southern Samaria, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Soldiers initially used riot-dispersal methods upon arriving at the scene in an attempt to restore order, according to the military.

“A terrorist who was in the area hurled rocks toward the soldiers, who in return responded with precise fire to neutralize the threat and eliminated the terrorist,” the IDF said, adding that no soldiers were hurt in the incident.

Security forces on Nov. 21 killed a terrorist belonging to the Palestinian Authority Police near Nablus in Samaria, the IDF, Israel Border Police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) said in a joint statement.

Israeli forces overnight Nov. 19 carried out a sweeping counterterrorism operation across Judea and Samaria, seizing weapons and arresting suspected terrorists linked to recent attacks, the IDF and Shin Bet said in a joint statement.
