The previous day, Isaac Herzog thanked Joe Biden for Washington’s “steadfast support from the very beginning of the war” with Hamas in remarks at the Jewish Federations of North America’s General Assembly.
“The sheer horror and devastation of Oct. 7 challenged realities we trusted and raised questions we never imagined our generation would face. In essence, the people of Israel were faced with a choice, and I have come here to speak about how Am Yisrael chose life.”
During their conversation, Trump stressed his “love and support” for the Jewish state, the Israeli president said.
“On behalf of the Jewish and democratic State of Israel, and all our people, I wish you much success,” the president said.
The president chose these leaders for their unwavering commitment to Israel and their exceptional support of the Jewish people.
Addressing criticism over the limited scope of the Israeli strike, the prime minister outlines a firm long-term strategy.
“I stand before you today, knowing that no words can mend the world that was destroyed,” he said, during the official memorial on Sunday at Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem.
“The heroism of the fallen and the injured has ensured our continued existence. We have the duty to complete the mission,” said IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi.
The Israeli president made clear ahead of their Tel Aviv meeting that “a major answer has to be made towards Tehran.”
Israel’s defense minister called on the Hamas terrorists to “cease fire and immediately release the hostages.”
The president met with wounded IDF troops at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa during a tour of northern Israel.
