At least seven wounded as Gaza rockets continue to pound Israel

Terrorist groups again targeted Israeli population centers, including the Jerusalem area.

At least seven Israelis sustained injuries on Monday afternoon as Gaza-based terrorist groups unleashed more barrages of rockets at the Jewish state’s population centers, including the Jerusalem area.

Magen David Adom emergency-service medics treated a man in his 20s who had been seriously wounded by shrapnel when a rocket hit Abu Ghosh, west of Jerusalem.

Photos shared on social media showed a rocket hit near a mosque in the Israeli Arab community.

In the ultra-Orthodox community of Beitar Illit in Gush Etzion, MDA paramedics treated four people wounded by the latest attacks, including a 10-year-old boy in serious condition and three men with light wounds.

The four were evacuated to the Hadassah Ein Kerem and Shaare Zedek hospitals in Jerusalem.

Another two people were treated at an unnamed location in the “Jerusalem corridor,” MDA said— a woman in her 60s in critical condition and a man with light injuries.

Rocket warning sirens blared across Israel’s capital as mourners gathered at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery for the funeral of Cpl. Nathanel Young, a British-born Golani Brigade soldier killed during Hamas’s surprise attack on Saturday.

The Hamas terrorist organization killed at least 900 Israelis and wounded more than 2,600 on Saturday in a massive offensive that included the launch of thousands of rockets at the Jewish state.

Of the 2,616 wounded, 25 remain in critical condition, according to the Israeli Health Ministry. In addition, 357 Israelis sustained severe wounds.

On Monday afternoon, the Israel Defense Forces announced that it had hit “many” targets in Gaza City’s al-Furqan neighborhood, calling it a “nest of terror” used by Hamas to launch attacks against Israel.

“I ask that you stand steadfast because we are going to change the Middle East,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told mayors and local council heads from Israel’s south on Monday, stressing that Hamas will be defeated “forcefully.”

“What Hamas will experience will be difficult and terrible. We are already engaged in the campaign, and we are just getting started,” said Netanyahu.

“These alleged threats and attempts to terrorize government officials, businesses and the Jewish Federation are anti-American,” the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan stated.
“One after another, prominent Jewish Democrats are lining up behind Graham Platner, a candidate caught wearing the insignia of the unit that ran the Holocaust death camps,” Sam Markstein, of the Republican Jewish Coalition, told JNS.

The measure would be “a critical victory for Jewish students who have faced attacks and for any student experiencing discrimination under Title VI,” Nathan Diament of OU Advocacy Center said.
In total, the New York governor announced nearly $140 million in federal funding to bolster counterterrorism capabilities and disaster response across the state.
“I have never been in a room where I felt so much hatred,” the mother of 22-year-old Carolin Bohl, who was killed by Hamas, said after attending a Berlin event at which Albanese was guest of honor.
