High school students who are part of a weeklong Georgetown University summer program in international affairs attended a talk on Tuesday at the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C.
About 50 students who came to the International Relations Academy from across the globe heard from Efrat Hochstetler, counselor for public diplomacy, and had the chance to ask her questions, the embassy’s deputy spokeswoman Einav Hadari told JNS.
The group wanted to know how Hochstetler’s role has changed, how a diplomatic career can affect personal life and how embassies around the world differ, according to Hadari.
We were pleased to host @GeorgetownSPHS students from around the world today. Our Counselor for Public Diplomacy @EfratHochstet gave them a glimpse of the life of a career diplomat, from cadet training to the family challenges that come with the job. pic.twitter.com/YlXLXobEjB
