The Western Wall Heritage Foundation is preparing to host tens of thousands of visitors for Jerusalem Day 5785, marking 58 years since the reunification of the city during the Six-Day War.

Festivities begin Sunday evening with a public prayer service and the unfurling of a giant Israeli flag at the Western Wall Plaza, attended by senior religious and public officials. This year’s flag ceremony is dedicated to the memory of Eyal Chaimovsky, the late director of the Jerusalem Development Authority.

Events continue through Monday, including a festive morning prayer, a special broadcast for elementary school students nationwide, and the iconic Flags March in the evening with mass participation.

Live streams and full schedule are available at: thekotel.org.

“No challenges were received during the public display period,” Shirley N. Weber’s office told JNS.
A 25-foot buffer zone around houses of worship would include a penalty for protesters who breach it, though the state assembly speaker said nothing has been agreed to yet.
“An event at a city-owned pool that was publicly and indiscriminately advertised as ‘whites only’ would surely violate the Constitution,” the executive director of the state Public Safety Office wrote. “The same must be true here.”
“Texas will not allow illegal educational institutions to operate in our state,” Gov. Greg Abbott stated.
The gift from the Jan Koum Family Foundation is expected to triple the size of the Jerusalem hospital.
Investigators said Ndiaga Diagne acted alone and found no evidence of association with a foreign terrorist organization in the attack that killed three and wounded 15 outside a downtown bar.
