The Islamic Shiite Waqf Committee in Burj al Barajneh foundation is suspected of being used to hide ballistic missiles and launch sites, according to the Alma research organization.

Lebanese president to US official: Impasse in maritime border talks can be overcome
“In-depth research” of international and maritime law can get stalled negotiations back on track, says Lebanese President Michel Aoun.
The U.S.-brokered talks will be delayed “for a few weeks,” according to Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz.

Israel-Lebanon maritime border talks stall
Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz says the Lebanese government has “changed its mind seven times”; Lebanese President Michel Aoun calls the claims “baseless.”
U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres calls on the Lebanese government to allow full access for UNIFIL to all areas in southern Lebanon, as well as the ability to investigate Hezbollah tunnels.
“They are preparing operational plans in anticipation of the next war,” warned Maj. (res.) Tal Beeri, director of Alma’s research department, who tells JNS that Hezbollah is deeply embedded among Syrian military’s forces, using their bases to gather intelligence and prepare military attack plans.
Former Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, a son-in-law of Lebanese President Michel Aoun, has been targeted for corruption.
During a visit to the north of the country to observe a large-scale IDF drill, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz also signaled optimism about eventual peace between Israel and Lebanon.
