IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari told press that IDF forces also discovered a map of Hezbollah’s plan to invade Northern Israel.
The IDF spokesperson warned of the possibility of further Hezbollah rocket launches from Lebanon towards the middle of the country.
The death of the terrorist leader, who led the Iranian-backed Shi’ite organization for the last 32 years, was marked by demonstrations and festivities in the region, including in bitterly divided sectarian Lebanon, in Syria and even in Iran itself.

Mounir Maqdah, commander of the Lebanese branch of Fatah’s military wing, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, was the target.

“What’s obvious for you today, was not obvious yesterday,” Philippe Lazzarini told reporters in Geneva following the death of Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin in Lebanon.
The U.S. defense secretary and his counterpart, Yoav Gallant, “agreed on the necessity of dismantling attack infrastructure along the border to ensure that Lebanese Hezbollah cannot conduct Oct. 7-style attacks on Israel’s northern communities.”
“The IDF is operating according to a methodical plan set out by the General Staff and the Northern Command which IDF soldiers have trained and prepared for in recent months,” the IDF said.
The U.S. president suggested he was opposed to Israel’s plans for “limited” ground operations against the Hezbollah terror organization.
The confirmation came shortly after the IDF declared three northern border communities a closed military zone.
“Will Israel enter Lebanon? We are ready and prepared to defend it,” said Sheikh Naim Qassem.
