Denise Katz-Prober, of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, told JNS that the school’s internal grievance process was weaponized against Jewish students.
The board in Palo Alto voted 3-2 to confirm the 2029 requirement and curriculum, based on an outdated document and without public review.
“We hope this investigation will force Cal Poly to stop sweeping antisemitism under the rug,” stated Kenneth Marcus, chairman of the Brandeis Center.

“Every single branch of every single institution there didn’t care about us,” Dahlia Levy, a former Scripps College student, told JNS.
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has “spoken out forcefully against campus antisemitism,” Kenneth Marcus told JNS.
Although this year has been “less catastrophic” than the last on campus, “we continue to see extraordinary ugliness around the country,” Kenneth Marcus, of the Brandeis Center, told JNS.
The Brandeis Center, which is suing the university, called the decision a “huge win for Jewish students.”
The “pervasive antisemitic climate” at the university “has only intensified” since a complaint was filed in federal court, the Brandeis Center says.
“Antisemitism continues to run rampant on college campuses,” said Kenneth Marcus, of the Brandeis Center.
“The eruption of antisemitism in Berkeley’s elementary and high schools is like nothing I’ve ever seen before,” said Kenneth Marcus, chairman of the Brandeis Center.
The Santa Ana Unified School District allegedly discussed responding to the “Jewish question” internally, without alerting the public to or allowing it to comment upon antisemitic content in courses.
