After anti-Semitic tirade, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan loses Twitter verification

The little blue check-mark badge was removed after a video from Farrakhan’s three-hour May 27 sermon blamed Jews for advocating “Satanic” same-sex marriage, imposing undue influence on former U.S. President Barack Obama and using sex to get parts in Hollywood films.

Twitter withdrew Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan’s verified status after he tweeted last week about the “Satanic Jew and the Synagogue of Satan.”

The little blue check-mark badge, which highlights noteworthy, popular accounts, was removed over the weekend after a video from Farrakhan’s three-hour May 27 sermon blamed Jews for advocating “Satanic” same-sex marriage, imposing undue influence on former U.S. President Barack Obama and using sex to get parts in Hollywood movies.

“Whenever you read that God has told the Jews to hear and obey, and they say, ‘I hear and I disobey,’ that’s Satan. ... [The Jews] are openly disobeying God,” railed Farrakhan. “He [a Jew] will take down the whole world with him.”

“Do you know that many of us who go to Hollywood seeking a chance have to submit to anal sex and all kinds of debauchery, and they give you a little part? It’s called the casting couch,” added Farrakhan. “See, that’s Jewish power.”

“My opponent has no history of standing up for the Jewish community. I’ve spent 30 years earning trust through substantive legal and legislative work,” Esther Panitch told JNS.
“Each incident documented in the audit meant pain, suffering and anguish for a human being, a fellow Canadian,” the Jewish nonprofit said.
“This action cuts revenue streams that fund the regime’s destabilizing activities across the Middle East,” stated Tommy Pigott, State Department spokesman.
U.S. economic pressure on Tehran targets “both traditional sanctions evasion tools like front companies as well as the exploitation of innovative technologies like digital assets,” a U.S. official said.
Elizabeth Barcohana, chair of Jewish engagement at the California Republican Party, told JNS that the statement is “abhorrent and not in touch with the concerns of California families.”
The Islamic Republic fired more than 550 ballistic and cruise missiles and 2,200 drones at the Gulf state.
