After being asked four times if he wanted to address anti-Semitism within the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn hedged, instead expressing his determination “that our society will be safe for people of all faiths.”
“I’ve only just begun, and I’m already at 26 seats, while the person I’m running against has headed the government for the past 10 years straight,” says Likud Knesset member Gideon Sa’ar.

“Israel Hayom” survey predicts Likud would win 33 mandates in the new elections compared to Blue and White’s 34, while Yisrael Beiteinu is expected to fall from its current nine Knesset seats to seven.
“Too many people in the Labour Party believed it was just a case of a few bad apples for far too long,” said former Labour Party MP Joan Ryan at the ADL’s “Never Is Now” summit. “By the time Labour became institutionally anti-Semitic, it was far too late to root out the Jew-haters.”
With lines drawn in the sand by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz, all eyes now turn towards the prospect of a third election, currently slated for March 2020.
