The U.S. Treasury Department designated 22 entities it said have funneled hundreds of millions of dollars to fund Iran’s nuclear program.
It brings together U.S. and Israeli lawmakers to discuss strengthening ties between the two legislative bodies.
The two discussed the airstrikes against Iran in mid-June, equally in awe of the military operations that targeted three nuclear facilities.
“We will find the terrorists operating in our shadows and bring them to justice,” said U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon.
“I think with Iran, the game is still on,” Assaf Orion, a fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, told JNS. “It’s not ‘Mission Accomplished.’ We can’t go and have beers because this problem is solved.”
The cash rewards are for American and Palestinian workers of the aid group, which has already seen 12 of its staff murdered and others tortured.
“Few leaders have achieved such tangible breakthroughs to peace in such a short time,” the Israeli premier wrote to the Nobel Committee.
“Tomorrow’s action follows the Syrian government’s commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated.
Iran “has had every opportunity to choose peace, its leaders have chosen extremism,” stated Scott Bessent, the U.S. treasury secretary.
The U.S. president wants to ensure that the strikes on Iran are “not a lost opportunity” to resolve the Israel-Hamas war, Foggy Bottom said.
U.S. officials reaffirm commitment to securing release of hostages held by Hamas, calling this a “critical window of opportunity.”
