(November 1, 2021, JNS Wire) The Mesorah Heritage Foundation is proud to announce the addition of Yitzchok Menachem Haas to its International Board of Governors.
Yitzchok’s involvement in the Mesorah Heritage Foundation goes back a decade, when he approached Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz, wishing to take a more active role in the Foundation’s work.
“I was learning and benefiting from the sefarim and books published by the Foundation and wanted to give back,” says Yitzchok.
He began by becoming an associate benefactor of Sefer Hachinuch/Book of Mitzvos and Talmud Yerushalmi.
Yitzchok expanded his involvement as time passed. He ultimately undertook the sponsorship of the groundbreaking Zera Shimshon project. Yitzchok’s dedication of Zera Shimshon was spurred by the enthusiasm he witnessed among people studying that classic Torah commentary of Rav Shimshon Chaim Nachmani, a renowned 18th century Italian rav and talmid chacham.
Constantly seeking new opportunities, Yitzchok also subsequently dedicated the elucidation of Tosafos on Tractate Succah.
“On behalf of Mr. Jay Schottenstein, our Chairman of the board, we express our gratitude to Yitzchok and his wife, Gitty, for their support of the Foundation, enhancing Torah study,” says Rabbi Gedaliah Zlotowitz, president of the Mesorah Heritage Foundation. “It is this vital backing and patronage that enables the Foundation to continue its important projects, inspiring Jews across the world.”
