The flooring, which dates back to the Byzantine period, was discovered during large-scale excavations in Yavne, ahead of the development of a new neighborhood in the city.
A total of 17 people have been detained and 11 questioned as criminal suspects, with four others placed under house arrest, in connection to the collapse of a crane at a construction site that killed four people.
Three were crushed by falling concrete slabs; a fourth was trapped atop the crane and died, despite rescue attempts to save him.
