António Guterres

The review “is not about changing UNRWA’s mandate,” according to a U.N. spokesman.
“As always, you don’t let the facts get in the way when spreading slander against Israel,” an Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman told the U.N. secretary-general.
Guterres condemned Jerusalem for its renewed offensive against Hamas, but stayed silent on the terror group’s rejection of U.S. ceasefire extension proposals.
“The secretary-general has spoken out repeatedly at the horrors we have seen in this conflict,” a spokesman for the U.N. secretary-general told JNS.
“We must avoid at all costs resumption of hostilities in Gaza that would lead to immense tragedy,” said U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres.
The European Union, through its 27 member states, is UNRWA’s third-largest donor.
“The history of the Holocaust is one of total moral collapse, dehumanization, complicity and unimaginable atrocities,” said the official who represented the United Nations at the event.
The U.N. secretary-general demanded “the immediate and unconditional release of the seven U.N. colleagues arbitrarily detained by the Houthis in Yemen this week.”
Outlawing the U.N. agency is “a direct response to the widespread infiltration of UNRWA’s ranks by Hamas,” Ambassador Danny Danon said.
U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres is slated to meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Jan. 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The U.N. secretary-general accused Israel of war crimes.
The secretary-general “couldn’t bring himself to mention” that Israeli citizens have been “relentlessly attacked by the Houthis,” the Foreign Ministry said.
