“While our parent company has taken this decision, we do not agree with it,” the ice-cream maker said in an official statement.

Marc Stern, chief legal officer for the American Jewish Committee, said “this was the first appellate test of laws that combat the BDS movement, whose primary aim is to eliminate the State of Israel. As the court noted, Arkansas has broad power to regulate economic activity, and taking a position on a boycott does not inhibit free speech.”
The bipartisan effort against anti-Semitism was led by Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) and Don Bacon (R-Neb.), joined by 35 colleagues.
German Jews want Stuttgart to appeal the decision.
The company omitted Ben & Jerry’s boycott decision, made in July 2020, from its disclosures because it knew it could create significant downside for the company, according to the complaint.
