A spokeswoman for the Ivy League university said that student government elections at Birzeit University, which include supporters of the terrorist organization, aren’t “germane.”

The suspects are members of Hamas’s student cell at Birzeit University and some have been “directly involved” in terrorist activities, says the Israel Defense Forces.
Five suspects have been arrested for their role in the scheme, which involved the transfer of funds from Hamas headquarters in Turkey through the Gaza Strip to Judea and Samaria.
